About Us

Mike Murphy purchased Grower's Outlet from Bill Stamey and his wife Cherry on September 1, 2001 . At that time, the business was located on Independence Blvd. in Charlotte, NC.  Mike had been in the corporate world for several years and was anxious to not only get to the fresh outdoors but end the practice of going to the Charlotte Airport on Monday mornings.

The business stayed on Independence Blvd until 1-1-2004, then relocated to

Lowesville, NC.  This location opened on April 3, 2004.  We look small from

the road, so bring your greenhouse/outside shoes to walk our many rows of

plants, shrubs, and trees.  We carry a large variety of sizes. 

Visit Mike's and you will be warmly greeted. Our staff is comprised of plant lovers and they enjoy talking with you about plants and planting ideas. Please stop by and see us.
